We liked the book but I was hoping there would be more pictures in the book. I bought this book for a friend who likes pin up art. Very sexy, sensual, and cute. I bought it last minute (and was too lazy to really shop around) but, if you do shop around (which I did later), you can find similar books for around the same price but more photos (better value). My friend said that she might take the photos out of the book and frame them for wall art.
The pics are big and great. Wish there was a bit more content but, very nice over all.
This book is a bit overpriced for what it is. I have seen better Elvgren examples.
This book has a short introduction to the artist and then jumps quickly into 16 large, color plates featuring some of Gil's best. A great book to get some excellent examples of his work.
What can I say-just beautiful works of art. I only wish there was more of it.-My only reason for one less star.
